  2. Hello Dr. Dray, I’m a huge fan, but I have some concerns. The Anua, Byoma sunscreen you recommended as good contains Butyloctyl Salicylate, which may cause endocrine disturbance in female hormones. Butyloctyl salicylate has also been reported to affect fetal weight gain, according to a study reported to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) conducted on rats, and effects on blood clotting have also been noted. Analyses conducted by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review, an American cosmetic ingredient evaluation agency, indicate that the concentration in cosmetics can reach 35.9%, and as a precaution, they advise avoiding it. Could you please recommend another sunscreen that women can use without any hormonal disturbance issues?

  3. Why are you recommending products with toxic ingredients? I bought one of your recommendations and now I need to return it because it contains octocrylene which is toxic

  4. Please do your research and avoid the ones that contain octocrylene which

Another group recently came out with data about a different carcinogen in certain sunscreens, calling for the FDA to remove all sunscreens containing the active ingredient octocrylene from sale. About 2,400 sun-protection products contain the ingredient.
Products made with octocrylene can naturally degrade into the chemical benzophenone, a suspected carcinogen that can interfere with key hormones and reproductive organs, according to a study published in Chemical Research in Toxicology in March 2021. The study was by French and American researchers from Sorbonne University and Haerecticus Environmental Laboratory, a Virginia-based nonprofit that studies health and environmental risks.
